The name probably comes from the nickname of St. Nicholas \"Speculator\" (Latin for \"the guardian\"). The cookies are spiced with cinnamon, cardamom and cloves, among other things. A combination of spices that is also found in gingerbread. If you don't have speculoos spice to hand, you can use gingerbread spice instead and add a little extra cinnamon. Depending on the powder, it is best to pass through a sieve so that it is well distributed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cool as quickly as possible (e.g. outside or in a water bath).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the meantime, whip the remaining cream with a hand mixer until stiff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Also beat the egg mixture with a mixer or a blender until creamy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fold the firm whipped cream into the egg cream. For the mold, start in reverse, as it will be overturned and want to have a closed layer of ice cream on top.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Freeze overnight or at least 3 hours (for the jars) or 6 hours (for the mold).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"zubereitungkirschen\">Preparation hot cherries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The hot cherries can either be prepared just before serving. Then remove from heat and let cool. Cool to about 30-50\u00b0C for immediate serving. Otherwise, store in the refrigerator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"anrichten\">Arrangement of the speculaas parfait<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Before consumption <\/strong>should the parfait <strong>approx. 15 minutes (for the jars) <\/strong>and approx. <strong>30 minutes (for the mold) in the refrigerator<\/strong> thaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Form <\/strong>Turn out onto a plate or platter. Remove the foil and arrange the hot cherries around it. Alternatively, cut slices from the parfait and arrange on plates and serve the cherries separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add 1-2 tablespoons of cherries to the glasses. Alternatively, serve in a small bowl with the parfait (see picture below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you like, you can decorate the dessert with the remaining speculaas cookies, sprinkle with cinnamon and powdered sugar and decorate with chocolate sprinkles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tipps\">Tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have the ice cream in a <strong>big shape<\/strong> If you want to freeze, make sure that the opening is <strong>unrestricted<\/strong> and <strong>Inside no edge<\/strong> is. Otherwise, the fall will not work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is it a <strong>larger or very rigid shape<\/strong> (e.g. glass), the wall should first be covered with <strong>Cooking oil<\/strong> and only then insert the foil.
